About the analyses

All data presented is a percentage of pageviews from all devices measured directly from websites using Blockmetry code, excluding pageviews detected to be from bots, whether they identify themselves as such (e.g. Googlebot) or not (stealth bots).

The data presented above excludes pageviews detected as blocking JavaScript. That is, only data from pageviews with JavaScript enabled is shown above.

Customers get a deeper analytics of their own data in the analytics dashboard, including:

Measuring adblocking and analytics blocking

The Blockmetry code simply measures whether an ad loaded in an HTML element as expected or not and whether the analytics tags loaded or not when JavaScript is enabled, whatever the root cause of the ad or analytics code not loading correctly. This means the data above includes the very small percentage of traffic where the network failed or the ad network failed to serve an ad. Ensuring the latter is rare and doesn't affect measurement is part of the upfront investment in instrumenting the site with Blockmetry's code.

Pageviews for which JavaScript is disabled are measured separately. Blockmetry measurement does not use device fingerprinting or similar techniques. More details in the FAQ page.
